Opening Ceremony:

Later that day, CIS held the official Opening Ceremony for the 2025–2026 school year in W Hall. With parents and students arriving, the hall was filled with joy and anticipation, symbolizing the official start of the new school year.


At the ceremony, Head of school Nathan Gray’s speech guided all teachers and students into the educational vision for the new school year. In his address, he emphasized that CIS is always committed to finding the perfect balance between “Academic Excellence” and “Caring Community.”

Head of school Nathan Gray stated:
“In 2025/2026 we are committed to building a community focused on academic excellence. We will foster critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and innovation.”
The Head of school further emphasized that academic excellence is not only reflected in textbooks and examinations, but also relies on a caring campus environment. CIS will continue to ensure that every student feels safe, supported, and has a strong sense of belonging. He stressed that every student studying here will, with the support of a caring community, be inspired to unlock their potential and grow into future leaders with both a global vision and an innovative spirit.

After the ceremony, students and parents joined their respective divisions for orientation activities:

ECE: Teachers helped children adapt to school life through games and interactive activities, creating a warm and caring atmosphere.

Elementary School: Homeroom teachers guided students through ice-breaking activities, helped them make new friends, and led classroom and campus tours. Teachers also engaged with parents to discuss learning and emotional support.

Secondary School: The secondary team introduced academic programs and university pathways to parents and students. Collaboration between school and families was emphasized to ensure comprehensive support for student success.

Boarding Orientation:
Comprehensive Care & Support
For boarding families, the orientation also included a session on dormitory life. The boarding team explained daily routines, safety regulations, and student services, ensuring parents felt confident that their children would grow up happily and safely in their “second home.”



ASA Exhibition:
Diverse Interests, Holistic Growth
In the Welcome Day hall, the ASA booths drew the attention of many students and parents. From music, sports, and technology to arts, the wide range of activity options showcased CIS’s comprehensive support for children’s interests and abilities. Whether through hands-on practice or artistic expression, every child could find their own shining moment here.

The three-day orientation and back-to-school program not only marked a fresh start for students, but also laid the foundation for strong school–family collaboration. From the head of school ’s vision, to the introduction of academic leaders, to the warm atmosphere in ECE, joyful teacher–student interactions in Primary, strengthened academic planning in Secondary, and enhanced boarding support—CIS reaffirmed its vision of Academic Excellence, Caring Community.



The new academic year has officially begun, and CIS looks forward to working hand-in-hand with every family to witness our students’ growth, confidence, and joy in both learning and life.
