Chinese New Year Celebration

2025-04-21

2025 marks the Year of the Snake. In Chinese culture, the snake (“巳”) symbolizes not only wisdom and agility but also growth and renewal.

On January 24, the CIS campus was filled with a festive atmosphere as students, teachers, and parents came together to celebrate the Chinese New Year under the theme "Sì Sì Qiú Xīn, Suì Suì Yōu Xué" (Innovation and Excellence Every Year).

Through a variety of engaging activities and culturally rich celebrations, everyone immersed themselves in a joyful and culturally vibrant festivity.

Activities Filled with Traditional Charm

The afternoon activities were filled with strong Chinese cultural flavors: calligraphy with the character "福" (fortune), dumpling-making, Chinese hand fans, and Year of the Snake crafts... every corner was infused with the festive atmosphere of the Spring Festival.

A highlight was the Chinese New Year wish zone, where children wrote their heartfelt blessings on paper, sending their best wishes and hopes for the coming year.
