CIS Graduation Season | Graduation Reflections: Celebrating Achievements and Embracing New Beginnings

June is a season of achievement, reflection, and new beginnings.

This week, CIS Foshan’s Kindergarten, Elementary, and Secondary divisions marked important milestones through graduation ceremonies and year-end celebrations.

At CIS, we believe every experience helps students discover their strengths, develop essential skills, and grow into future-ready learners and leaders. This reflects our mission and vision: Innovate Today, Lead Tomorrow.

This year’s Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony was inspired by Aladdin, creating a celebration filled with imagination, joy, and meaningful moments. Throughout the event, students not only performed on stage but also confidently took on the role of hosts.

The G5 and G6 Graduation Ceremony celebrated growth, gratitude, and aspirations for the future. Hosted by Ms. Michelle, IB PYP Coordinator and Grade 6 Homeroom Teacher, the event gave students an opportunity to reflect on their Elementary School journey through speeches and performances.

Grade 6 student representative Chealsy shared her hopes for the future, while Paris reflected on her personal growth and learning experiences.

Music and applause filled the hall as students and teachers celebrated the memories they had created together.

A particularly touching moment came when graduates presented flowers to their parents in appreciation of their love and support. Grade 1 students also prepared special gifts and best wishes for the graduating students as they move into the next stage of their learning journey.

Filled with applause, smiles, and heartfelt embraces, the ceremony became a treasured memory for many families.

The Secondary Year-End Celebration provided students with an opportunity to reflect on the year behind them and look ahead to the opportunities ahead.

Throughout the year, students explored new ideas in the classroom, challenged themselves through activities, developed responsibility through collaboration, and gained greater clarity about their goals and aspirations.

During the celebration, students and teachers reflected on their learning experiences, shared achievements and insights, and looked forward to the coming academic year with greater confidence and maturity.

For Secondary students, growth is not only measured by academic progress, but also by the development of responsibility, independent thinking, and leadership.

A new academic year awaits, and their stories are only just beginning.
