Model United Nations:

Cultivating Future Leaders in Real-world Contexts

Model United Nations (MUN)is not only an academic activity, but also an important platform for students to step into the world. Through debate and collaboration, students learn how to understand diverse cultures, how to engage in cross-national communication, and how to express themselves diplomatically.

CIS has always adhered to the educational philosophy of “Academic Excellence, Caring Community,” providing students with opportunities to develop critical thinking and communication skills. The awarding of YLMUN this time is not only a recognition of CIS’s educational achievements, but also a bridge for students to connect with the world.

About the YLMUN Youth Leaders Model United Nations Conference.

The UN Young Leaders Model United Nations Summit (UNYLMUN) will be held from November 2025 to July 2026, covering the National Competition, the Asia Competition, and the Global Finals in Switzerland. It provides students with a growth path from local to international, from simulation to real-world practice.

Unlike traditional MUNs, this summit elevates “academic exercises” to “diplomatic practice,” with an academic advisory team composed of senior figures from the international political arena, who have participated in more than 200 real UN decision-making processes. The summit has received special official support from the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), and the winning teams’ proposals will be directly submitted to the organization’s Policy Research Center. Outstanding participants will also have the opportunity to obtain a handwritten recommendation letter from UN officials as well as priority access to internship opportunities at UN agencies.

This makes YLMUN far surpass conventional MUNs in terms of authority, practicality, and resource support, creating a unique growth platform for students. Every participant will have the opportunity to hone their talents on the global stage, make lifelong friends, and leverage the summit’s unique resources to step into a broader future.
