CIS News | Incoming Head of School to Assume Office Soon

Mr. Darran Lorne will officially assume the position of Head of School at CIS Foshan in August 2026.

Mr. Lorne has more than 31 years of leadership experience in international education. He has served as a Superintendent in Canada and as a school leader in the United Arab Emirates and Egypt.

As a dual citizen of Canada and the United Kingdom, Mr. Lorne holds a Master of Education degree from the University of Lethbridge. His professional development is deeply rooted in the Alberta curriculum, the UK curriculum, and the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework. These professional experiences will provide solid support for the steady development of CIS.

Throughout his long career in educational leadership, Mr. Lorne has been widely recognized for his energetic leadership style and his persistent pursuit of teaching excellence. He firmly believes that truly outstanding education should focus on the holistic development of every learner.
