CIS Summer Camp | Full-English IB-Inspired Learning for ECE & Elementary Students

Summer is approaching, and many parents face the following questions:

How to use language in real contexts, understand content, and gradually build communication skills is a key concern for many families.

CISFoshan is a candidate school for the IB Elementary Years Programme (PYP). The 2026 Summer Camp curriculum is based on the IB PYP framework, utilizing Inquiry-Based Learning and interdisciplinary integration, and is conducted in an English-speaking environment.

Summer camp courses are carefully designed for different age groups to ensure every child grows at their own pace.

Focuses on foundational skills and uses engaging themes to naturally develop language and thinking abilities:

• Under the Sea: Learn phonics, reading, and simple writing through ocean stories;

• Space Adventure ：Tell space stories in English to enhance vocabulary and expression;

• Travel Through Time： Learn history and chronological order to build basic cognition;

• Nature Explorer ：Explore the animal world, improving language through observation and description.

Focuses on academic skills and holistic development through interdisciplinary learning:

• Art and Craft Festival：Improve comprehension and expression through reading and art appreciation;

• Healthy Habits：Writing and communication around everyday life topics;

• Mythical Creatures： Develop critical thinking and inquiry skills through UOI (Unit of Inquiry);

• Celebrations Around the Globe：Learn about diverse cultures and expand international perspectives.

Detailed Schedule

Weekly field trips allow students to observe, experience, and connect classroom knowledge with the real world.

Through diverse sports and activities such as swimming and basketball, students build fitness, teamwork, and confidence while supporting their overall well-being.

CIS Summer Camp features weekly showcases where children organize and present what they have learned, building confidence and expression skills.

ECE camps include nap time for a balanced schedule; Elementary camps focus on continuous learning and inquiry to maintain focus and learning flow.

Each class has a complete teaching and support team:

• Homeroom Teacher,Oversees teaching and class management；

• Learning Partner (LP),Provides individualized guidance and assistance；

• Life Coach (ECE only),Focuses on children’s daily life and emotional development.
