Director Letter

Dear Parents, Community Members, and Stakeholders,

It is an honor to serve as the Director of CIEO International Schools in China. For those I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting, I bring with me 25 years of educational leadership experience from Washington State, USA—where I had the joy of raising my three children, Tehya, Bing, and Inara, in the very schools I was privileged to lead.

One of my long-standing commitments as an educational leader is to maintain open, transparent communication. For more than two decades, I’ve shared regular monthly updates with school communities to celebrate successes and keep families informed. I’m proud to continue this tradition across our exceptional campuses in Guangzhou and Foshan.

Our schools continue to thrive in preparing students for admission to the world’s top universities. I’m proud to share that this year,100% of our Guangzhou graduates were accepted into top-100 global institutions—a testament to the dedication of our students, teachers, and families.After visiting classrooms across all three campuses, I’ve been inspired by the high level of teaching, learning, and student engagement taking place every day.

At a recent gathering with Foshan parents, I shared details of an exciting initiative for the upcoming school year. Next year our campus heads will be working closely with me to conduct joint school visits, observing instruction, and aligning best practices to ensure we continue delivering a consistently excellent academic experience for all students.

As the academic year draws to a close, planning for 2025–2026 is well underway. It would be helpful for you to reach out to admissions for plannning and receive your input and feedback for the upcoming year.
