CIS Winter Festival | More than 300 groups of family reunion, love full FUN!
Music warms the heart, and art fuels love! On December 14th, the much-anticipated CIS Charity Art Night and Winter Festival, themed "Love • Legacy," arrived as scheduled, bringing together CIS faculty, students, and parents in a celebration of creativity and community.

The campus is filled with a festive atmosphere.
As the festive season quietly approached and the holiday spirit grew stronger, the CIS community embraced the perfect opportunity to celebrate a time of gratitude and warmth. CIS has cultivated a harmonious and inclusive community with its surroundings, where the spirit of dedication, care, and belonging thrives.
This sense of community is not only reflected inside and outside the classroom but also vividly showcased in various school events, especially during the Charity Art Night and Winter Festival. With delightful cuisine, dazzling performances, vibrant marketplaces, and inspiring student showcases, the event brought together love and hope, offering students a stage to shine while contributing to meaningful charitable causes.
The Guangdong JIAYOU Educational Development Foundation (referred to as the "JIAYOU Foundation") is a non-public charitable foundation approved by the Guangdong Provincial Civil Affairs Department. The foundation's mission is to support the education and growth of underprivileged children. "Education is love" has always been the guiding philosophy of the Canadian International Educational Organization (CIEO).
As an educational group, CIEO believes that beyond imparting knowledge to children, it is even more crucial to teach them gratitude and inspire them to help those in need. Ultimately, this enables children to experience love, understand the value of life, and embrace a sense of social responsibility.
As a flagship school of CIEO, CIS spares no effort in promoting love and charity.
The CIS campus was transformed into a dreamy wonderland, adorned with vibrant lights and festive Christmas decorations, shimmering like a precious gem. Warm lights intertwined with cheerful melodies, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a fairytale. Every corner was filled with joy and warmth, including the much-loved Christmas Wonder House, which brought delightful wishes to children and their families.
Santa Claus is spreading the holiday cheer!
Encircling the playground was a series of creative booths offering a variety of food, games, and displays, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy. Among them, 22 family-run booths organized charity sales, with all proceeds generously donated to the JIAYOU Educational Development Foundation.

The Winter Festival began with a spirited vocal performance of "Young China Speaks," as a group of energetic young students sang with passion, embodying hope and a vibrant future. Following this, "Descendants of the Dragon" resonated with pride and the grandeur of Chinese heritage. The festival continued with a rich array of performances, including African drumming, clarinet and oboe duets, piano recitals, violin and viola ensembles, trombone and flute solos, percussion showcases, and dance performances. The melodious tunes, joyful stage, and pure smiles filled the winter evening with the warmest hues.

A percussion performance full of passion!

Instrumental performances were undoubtedly a highlight of the entire concert. The students delivered remarkable performances, showcasing their talents with instruments such as violins, violas, African drums, clarinets, and oboes. Remarkably, most of these students had only been learning these instruments in music class for less than a semester, yet they confidently took to the stage. Their dedication and the exceptional teaching skills of their music instructors were clearly evident!
In CIS music classes, students have the opportunity to fully experience the unique sensations brought by various instruments—whether it’s light and cheerful, melodious and soothing, or deep and resonant. These experiences enrich their inner world and evoke heartfelt emotions, adding depth and vibrancy to their journey of learning.

CIS is dedicated to nurturing students with a strong sense of social responsibility and a lifelong passion for learning. Here, students not only develop problem-solving skills but also cultivate sharp critical thinking abilities, empowering them to contribute to society and the world with a positive and proactive attitude.
This event not only showcased the brilliance of art and music but also brought together masterpieces from renowned artists and original creations by CIS students. Through an auction format, it supported charitable projects, using art as a medium to spread love and warmth.
In an atmosphere filled with creativity and love, each auction piece reflected the heartfelt dedication of artists and students, contributing to the support of the community and charitable causes. Accompanied by the melodious tunes of the Winter Music Festival, families and friends came together to bask in the warmth and beauty of the season, experiencing the fusion of art and love while creating unforgettable memories and inspiration.
Stepping into the school atrium, visitors were greeted by a breathtaking art exhibition showcasing masterpieces from renowned artists alongside imaginative creations by young “little artists.”
Like rays of warm light, the artists channeled their energy into beams of sunshine, spreading hope and warmth with their pure and whimsical childlike hearts. The colorful paintings featured a variety of enchanting animal figures and serene landscapes, bringing the vibrant dreams of the children vividly to life.

Among the artworks, the Grade 10 students' "Seurat's Fruits" series stood out with its use of pointillism.
These pieces, themed around fruits, employed intricate dots layered to create a sense of depth and tonal variation. Each painting captured the dynamic interplay of points and the subtle textures of fruit surfaces, evoking a profound appreciation for the beauty of nature. As part of their monthly assessment, this series not only explored the charm of artistic techniques but also revealed the hidden artistry and vitality in everyday objects, beautifully aligning with the theme of this charity art event.

"Empowered by love, spreading warmth," the CIS Charity Art Night has successfully held 11 editions, bringing together thousands of compassionate individuals. We firmly believe that by actively participating in and helping others, students can deeply experience the value and significance of giving. This sense of fulfillment motivates them to engage in charitable initiatives more enthusiastically, fostering their personal growth.
