Caring Community | CIS Students Bring Music and Warmth to the Community
Recently, students and teachers from Caeyu International School of Foshan visited HEYOU Hospital in Beijiao, Shunde, to participate in a community charity music performance, bringing warmth and companionship to local residents through music.
Growing Through Community Service
At the event, Christine, a Grade 8 student from CIS, performed several pieces, including Lu Xiao Yu, Silence , Another Day of Sun, and Lanting Xu. Her music filled the venue, creating meaningful connections with the audience through the power of melody.

For Christine, this was more than just a performance—it was an opportunity to engage with the community and serve others.
She shared:“I am honored to take part in this community charity performance. Through sharing music with community members, I experienced the power of music to connect people. This event not only strengthened my stage performance skills but also helped me understand the value of community service. I am grateful to my school and teachers for providing this opportunity, and I hope to continue using music to bring warmth and happiness to others in the future.”
Music Education
Beyond the Classroom
Mr. Viper, CIS Music Teacher, also participated in the charity performance. He shared his thoughts on the event:"Having Christine perform at HEYOU Hospital reinforced the importance of music in community service."

Mr. Viper also noted:"Seeing students use their talents to bring comfort and support to others reminds me that music education is not only about developing skills, but also about learning how to give back to the community."

CIS encourages students to develop a sense of responsibility and compassion through real-world experiences. This charity performance not only connected the school with the local community through music, but also provided students with meaningful opportunities for growth through service.Looking ahead, CIS will continue to support student participation in community and charitable initiatives, using action to spread warmth, kindness, and positive impact.
