CIS, in collaboration with Royal Orchid International Golf Academy, established the New Star Golf Academy last year and launched the distinctive CIS golf program.
As an important educational program under CIS International School, it is dedicated to cultivating future golf stars with outstanding sportsmanship and leadership.
On January 17th, the final event of the course took place, showcasing the students' achievements and highlighting the high-quality, distinctive program developed by CIS in collaboration with Royal Orchid International Golf Club. The course maximized students' potential through professional guidance and tiered teaching activities.

About Royal Orchid International Golf Club:
Began in 1997, it is the first golf course in Shunde, Guangdong, designed by the legendary golfer Nick Faldo. This 18-hole parkland course is rich in Lingnan water town characteristics and was named one of China's Top Ten Golf Community Courses in 2024.
Leveraging its rich teaching experience and premium resources, Royal Orchid International Golf Club, in collaboration with CIS, provides students with a more professional golf learning platform.
Course Highlights
● Course Design: The course content is tailored to students of varying levels. Beginners focus on fundamental skills such as grip, stance, and swing, while more advanced students receive customized training to enhance their skills.
● Key Training: This semester's focus was on stance and swing techniques. Due to space limitations, foam balls were used for initial practice, gradually transitioning to real ball swings to ensure every student mastered proper technique.
● Diverse Goals: In addition to technical training, the course emphasizes understanding the rules, applying strategies, and character development, helping students improve focus, discipline, and teamwork skills.
● Guidance from Professional Coaches: This helps students avoid mistakes and fosters a strong interest in golf. This is the core purpose of CIS's collaboration with Junlan.

On the day of the event, students and parents participated together in a variety of interactive activities, including:
● The coach summarized the achievements and rewarded outstanding students: Reflecting on the students' growth and progress this semester, the coaches have also developed strong friendships with the students through a term of lessons. Among the most moving moments were the stories of the students' personal growth. For example, student Filipp started out as playful and energetic but gradually became more focused and dedicated to completing his training exercises. Another student, Jiaxin, showed excellent performance during the foam ball practice phase. Upon moving to the practice field, she adapted quickly to the real ball’s swing rhythm, demonstrating strong learning ability and adaptability.
● Swing demonstration: The students were divided into groups to showcase their personalized swing techniques, with smooth and confident movements.
● Parent-child interactive games: Parents and children worked together to complete fun golf challenges, enhancing parent-child interaction and allowing parents to directly experience the positive impact the course has had on their children.
The top three students in
the parent-child game were awarded.

The coach addressed all the parents' questions, providing them with a deeper understanding of the courses their children have been taking.

In the course, CIS and Junlan Golf combine the features of indoor simulation training and outdoor practice field.
● Indoor simulation training: By using golf simulators, accurate data feedback is provided to help students quickly correct their movements.
● Practice field experience: Provides a real hitting experience, helping students feel the course environment and improve distance and directional judgment.
This dual-mode teaching approach not only enhances students' skills but also helps them adapt to real course environments.

In the future, CIS and Junlan Golf plan to further enhance the quality of the course in the following areas:
● Event participation: Organize students to participate in high-level regional tournaments, allowing them to gain experience in competitions and improve their ability to handle pressure and collaborate as a team.
● Course upgrade: Introduce high-tech simulators for teaching, helping students more intuitively master complex skills while making the course more engaging and practical.
