2025-09-19

Music is the purest common language of humanity. It can transcend borders, touch the soul, and become a lifelong companion for children.

For CIS, music is not only a part of aesthetic education, but also an important pathway to cultivating students’ overall literacy and shaping their character.

Free Orchestral Program

Enabling Every Child to Master a Musical Instrument

Last year, CIS officially established the “Northern Lights Orchestra,” which has always been regarded as a key ASA program. This year, we have once again upgraded our arts education plan — all students can now receive systematic orchestral training free of charge, ensuring that they master at least one musical instrument during their time at school.

Systematic Music Training

Enabling Children to Play Their Own Melody

CIS’s orchestral program is designed to integrate three dimensions: beginner-friendly entry, practice-oriented learning, and systematic development.

  • Beginner-Friendly Entry: Helping students build a foundation in music theory and instruments, lowering the learning threshold.

  • Practice-Oriented: Enhancing expressiveness and teamwork through ensemble playing, arrangement, and stage performance.

  • Systematic Development: Supporting long-term learning with phased goals, enabling students to progress from cultivating interest to building strong capabilities.

The Profound Significance of Music Education

At CIS, we firmly believe that learning a musical instrument is not only the acquisition of skills, but also the cultivation of overall literacy.

  • It enables students to develop focus and perseverance through persistence and practice;

  • It teaches students to listen and collaborate through ensemble playing;

  • It allows students to gain confidence and a sense of achievement through stage performance.

These experiences will become the foundation of children’s lives, accompanying them as they move toward the future.
