Innovate Today|Innovation Conference: Students are at the center, creating the future
What is “innovation”?
At CIS, we believe innovation is the process of every child bravely expressing themselves and actively exploring the world. It’s how each student finds their own unique way to engage with and respond to the world around them.
On May 10, CIS Innovation Fair is set to begin! We warmly welcome both CIS families and guests from the wider community to join this student-led celebration of creativity and ideas.
12-Class Exhibition:
Where Student Ideas
Come to Life
The core exhibition area of this year’s Innovation Fair will feature learning outcomes presented by students from 12 different classes.
But this is far more than just a “display of work”—it is a real-world task showcase that demonstrates how students integrate knowledge, express their thinking, and apply problem-solving skills in action.

The exhibition features a wide range of themes, including math modeling, science experiments, art installations, English projects, and social issue research.
You’ll see students reconstructing a city through hands-on work and logical thinking, analyzing traffic problems using interviews and data visualization, or exploring environmental protection through artistic expression.

Experience Zone:
Art × STEAM
× Sports × Smart Tech
In addition to student exhibitions, the event will feature multiple interactive experience stations open to all age groups—inviting every student to take part in hands-on creativity and exploration.
The Art Therapy Zone is led by CIS art teacher Ms. Jade, who guides students in using color and imagery to express their inner emotions and explore the connection between art and feelings.

In the STEAM Challenge Zone, students will take on hands-on, project-based tasks under teacher guidance. Through cross-disciplinary collaboration, they’ll learn by doing—exploring, experimenting, and having fun along the way.

The Sports Obstacle Challenge will take over the main field with a giant inflatable course, transforming it into a fun and energetic space where students put their physical skills, teamwork, and strategy to the test.

We’ll also welcome some exciting “smart guests” from tech companies—bringing live demonstrations of intelligent technology straight to the Innovation Fair.

Step In. Explore More
This year’s Innovation Fair is open not only to current CIS families, but also to selected families from the broader community.
Unlike previous events, this year's program follows a scheduled, class-period format. Each grade level will take turns showcasing their work and leading experiences during designated time slots—allowing visiting families to follow along and participate as if attending a full-scale “open class in action.”

Guests will have the opportunity to witness how students take ownership of their projects—planning independently, integrating knowledge across disciplines, and collaborating as teams.
This is what innovation education truly looks like at CIS.
Special Guest Talks:

Why Innovation Fair?
Because at CIS, we believe:
Innovation isn’t a competition, nor is it limited to high-tech fields—it belongs to every child who dares to imagine, speak up, and try.

We hope that every student can express their learning, build meaning, and respond to the world through real-world experiences.
We also hope that every parent can witness the unique light shining from their child’s growth during this special Open Day.
