Summer vacation is a golden time to bond with children—and also a season when family conflicts tend to surface. From screen-time struggles to academic anxiety, from emotional outbursts to communication breakdowns, many parents are torn between “how to discipline” and “feeling powerless.”

At CIS Kindergarten, every parent witnesses their child’s remarkable growth, and some stories quietly unfold in their hearts. For Nastya, mother of Melaniia, a K5 student from Russia, this journey has been especially meaningful.

At CIS, countless heartwarming family stories shape the journeys of our students. Today, we share the story of Mr. Zhou’s family—a shining example of balancing academics with character, and weaving service and responsibility into daily life. Their daughters, 9-year-old Milly and 4-year-old Zenith, are currently in Grade 4 and PK4 at CIS.

The scorching July sun brought the second session of the CIS Summer Camp as scheduled. Although the course structure remains the same as the first session, a group of brand-new children enter the classroom - they have different paces, personalities and ways of expression.   

At the recent CIS Kindergarten Year-End Awards Ceremony, Yanan, mother of K5 student Jayden, shared a heartfelt message about her child’s incredible growth over the past year. Though Jayden has only been at CIS for one year, he has made remarkable progress in communication, emotional expression, and social skills—quietly laying a strong foundation for his future learning journey.
