In June, a season of celebration filled the CIS with joy and reflection. On June 13, the 2024–2025 Kindergarten and Grade 6 Graduation Ceremonies took place, marking a meaningful milestone for our students and families.
These ceremonies were more than just formalities—they were heartfelt expressions of CIS’s mission: Innovate Today, Lead Tomorrow.

Kindergarten Graduation
Take Flight, Little Pilots of CIS!
This year’s Kindergarten graduation ceremony embraced the theme “Ready for Takeoff,” symbolizing our K5 students’ transition from early childhood education to the elementary school years.
The ceremony was creatively designed as a departure gate. Led by Kindergarten Coordinator Kole, dressed as a “captain,” students entered the auditorium in a symbolic boarding process.
The setting was filled with warmth and excitement, with families seated and ready to celebrate this proud moment.
Head of School Mr. Nathan Gray opened the ceremony with an inspiring speech, reflecting on the children’s growth and encouraging them to embrace curiosity and confidence as they move into Grade 1.
The K5 students performed a delightful musical production, featuring songs like Do Re Mi, Wakaka, and Moana. These performances showcased not only their language and musical skills but also their teamwork and stage confidence.

Kole then delivered her heartfelt farewell speech, commending the children’s courage, perseverance, and creativity. “You are ready,” she said, “to take flight with confidence and curiosity. Let your dreams soar higher from here.”
A meaningful highlight of the ceremony was the “Step Up” moment, as each child ascended the stage to symbolically step into a new chapter.

Grade 6 Graduation
A Confident Step
Toward Global Horizons
June 13 also marked the CIS Grade 6 Graduation—an important milestone for our elementary students transitioning to secondary school.
In a touching tradition, the ceremony was hosted by Grade 5 students, symbolizing the passing of the torch to the next generation.
Students from Grades 1–5, parents, and faculty gathered in the auditorium, filled with pride and anticipation.
Mr. Nathan Gray delivered a powerful opening speech, encouraging students to maintain a lifelong love of learning and to challenge themselves with courage and curiosity.
The elementary choir performed “Snail”, bringing a calm yet determined energy to the room. The song speaks to the idea that every step forward—no matter how small—is worth cherishing, just like the steady learning journey each child has taken.
Next, homeroom teacher Ms. Peggy called out the names of the graduates one by one. Each student stepped onto the stage to receive their diploma from the principal, with every confident smile captured in a lasting moment.
