Caring Community | CIS Parent Committee: Building a Strong School Family Together
On October 9, CIS held the first PTA (Parent-Teacher Association) meeting for the 2025–2026 school year.
School leaders and parent representatives gathered together to discuss the direction of home-school collaboration for the new academic year, working hand in hand to create a warmer and more supportive educational community for students’ growth.

Building a Caring Community Together
The meeting began with a speech by Mr. Nathan, the Head of School. He emphasized
“The PTA is the architect of our school spirit and the catalyst for a caring community.”
The PTA serves as the designer of the school’s spirit and the catalyst for a caring community.
Mr. Nathan emphasized that,“This work builds the invisible infrastructure of kindness that holds our school together.” He noted that it is every warm welcome, every moment of listening, and every act of mutual support that together build the caring strength of CIS.
It is these small yet compassionate actions that make up the warm foundation that supports the CIS community.
He encouraged parents to actively participate in school activities and work together to build a learning community filled with connection, joy, and trust, where every child can thrive in an environment of love and support.

Educational Resonance:
Fostering Resilient Growth
The meeting specially invited Mr. Kelvin Hui, a French PhD in Psychology, to deliver a keynote speech titled "How to Develop Students’ Ability to Cope with Stress and Promote Mental Health on Campus."

The lecture, drawing on a wealth of educational cases and psychological practices, provided parents with practical strategies for family support. It guided them to better understand their children’s inner needs and to help them maintain positivity and balance throughout their learning and growth journey.
Parents responded enthusiastically, expressing that they gained valuable insights and felt even more convinced of the importance of home-school collaboration.

From Communication
to Co-Creation:
Warming the
Home-School Connection
This meeting not only marked the full launch of the new school year’s PTA activities but also reaffirmed CIS’s belief:the power of education comes from home-school collaboration, and the warmth of the community comes from every parent’s participation and support.
Looking ahead, CIS will continue to uphold its teaching philosophy of “Academic Excellence Caring Community” ensuring that every student can grow into a confident, compassionate, and creative learner with the joint support of both home and school.
