CIS ASA | A wide variety of extracurricular courses, which one do you PICK?
It’s been a while since the school year started, and we believe CIS students are now gradually adapting to the all-English classroom environment. Beyond academics, CIS has also prepared a diverse range of After-School Activities (ASA) for them, where each student can discover their own passions and shine.

At CIS, we are dedicated to fostering the all-around development of our students. After-School Activities (ASA) not only complement classroom learning but are also an essential part of their growth journey.
Here, children can enhance their language and academic skills, explore music and arts, strengthen their athletic abilities (like through our golf program), develop leadership and public speaking skills, and engage in multicultural and tech innovation projects. These activities help them broaden their horizons and unlock their potential.

Hot tip! CIS’s ASA lineup is packed with options, and first-year founding students get a fantastic perk! Except for Tuesday’s 4:00-5:00 PM sessions—like leadership, TED Talks, soccer, and basketball—the rest of our ASA courses are all free!

Empowering the Future - Integrating Culture and Tech Innovation
Multiculturalism and technology are at the core of today’s world. Rapid advancements make innovation vital—not just for CIS, but to inspire students to aim for a broader future. That’s why every Wednesday, we offer programs like the Chinese Culture Club, arts, and AIGC (Artificial Intelligence Graphics Computing), allowing students to explore new interests, boost creativity, and strengthen problem-solving skills in a diverse, tech-focused setting.

Our sports and wellness courses are also essential. With soccer and basketball on Tuesdays and swimming on Wednesdays, students develop physical fitness, teamwork, and competitive skills. In swimming, coaches provide tailored instruction to ensure safe improvement. At CIS, we see sports as crucial for building resilience and collaboration.

Empowering Student Choices:
Inspiring each student to follow their passions and illuminate their unique path forward.
CIS believes that a variety of extracurricular activities not only nurture students' interests and potential but also broaden their perspectives, significantly impacting both their academic journey and future growth. These activities complement classroom learning, allowing students to explore interests, expand knowledge, and form connections.

From a college admission perspective, extracurricular activities showcase a student’s commitment and distinctive qualities, which can be valuable in university applications. Long-term engagement in these activities also helps develop essential skills such as organization, teamwork, and communication—qualities that are highly beneficial for success in university and beyond.
So, what’s the best choice? At CIS, we believe the true value lies in pursuing personal passions. Students should focus on what genuinely excites them—whether it’s sports, music, art, or tech—and shape their activities around these interests.
Here at CIS, we empower each student to be uniquely themselves. We guide them to follow their own light, helping them reach their fullest potential and become the best versions of themselves.
