A Parent's Letter | CIS High School Parent Letter Witnessing Children's Transformation Moment

I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude and share my thoughts on the Exhibition Day at CIS today. As a grandparent, I found this event to be an incredibly valuable and insightful experience, and I am truly impressed by the dedication and hard work demonstrated by both the students and the teachers.

Firstly, I understand that having parents observe their classes might have been a stressful situation for some students. However, I believe that this provided them with a unique opportunity to learn how to manage stress in different environments and to showcase their true abilities without any interference. It was heartening to see the students confidently presenting their work and expressing themselves, despite the presence of their parents. This experience will undoubtedly help them develop the resilience and self-assurance necessary to succeed in their future academic and professional endeavors.

During the class sit-in, I was amazed by the depth and breadth of knowledge that the students have acquired throughout the academic year. The teaching materials used were engaging, relevant, and effectively facilitated the learning process.

I was particularly impressed by the students' ability to articulate their thoughts and ideas demonstrating a strong understanding of the subject matter. The teachers' guidance and support were instrumental in helping the students build the confidence to present their work and develop essential presentation skills. It was evident that the teachers have a genuine passion for teaching and are committed to helping their students reach their full potential.

Another highlight of the event was witnessing the students' teamwork and collaboration. The group projects showcased their ability to work together effectively, share ideas, and support one another. The presentation materials, including the PowerPoint slides and posters, were visually appealing and well-organized, reflecting the students' creativity and attention to detail. This experience not only helped the students develop important teamwork skills but also fostered a sense of mutual respect among them.

I was also impressed by the different teaching styles and approaches demonstrated by the teachers. Each teacher brought their unique charisma and expertise to the classroom, creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment. Despite the language barriers, the teachers were able to effectively communicate with the students and facilitate their learning. Their commitment to empowering the students and helping them overcome challenges was truly inspiring.

Finally, I would like to commend the school for its educational philosophy of stimulating students to learn, explore questions, and find solutions on their own. This approach not only encourages critical thinking and problem-solving skills but also helps the students develop the independence and self-reliance necessary to succeed in the 21st century. I believe that this philosophy is reflected in the school's curriculum and teaching methods, and it is one of the many reasons why CIS is a highly regarded institution although it is considerably new in Foshan.

In conclusion, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the school for organizing the Exhibition Day.  This event was a resounding success, and it provided me with a valuable opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of my grandchild's learning experience and the school's educational approach. I am confident that the skills and knowledge that my grandchild has acquired at CIS will serve as a solid foundation for her future success.
