CIS Foshan Officially Launches—

The SDP (Student Development Plan) is a comprehensive student growth program, covering all stages from kindergarten to Elementary and secondary school.

Developed by the Canadian International Education Organization (CIEO) for the AI era, this is a personalized student growth support system. After nearly two years of research, testing, and refinement, it reflects the professional education team’s insights into student development, aiming to provide a more scientific and precise understanding of each student’s learning status, growth needs, and developmental potential.

SDP System Interface

In international education, parents often encounter various types of reports: internal academic reports, MAP tests, Raz-Kids, IXL, English proficiency data, and more.

All these data are important, but parents are often more concerned with specific questions, such as:

• Why is my child’s progress not obvious despite their efforts?

• Why is homework and test performance inconsistent even though classroom participation is good?

• Why does my child still struggle with comprehension and expression despite studying English for a long time?

• If the future goal is admission to a top 100 global university, how should each stage be planned now?

The purpose of SDP is to integrate scattered data into a clear and coherent student growth roadmap.It does more than report “what scores the child achieved”; it helps parents understand the reasons behind the issues and allows schools and families to align current learning support with future academic goals and long-term development paths.

A complete SDP report consists of five key sections:

Understand the student’s current learning status, subject performance, classroom participation, and learning characteristics.

Analyze specific skills such as listening, speaking, reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension, and writing structure.

Align with the student’s interests, strengths, and long-term development goals to help families make informed decisions about extracurricular activities.

Break growth goals into actionable tasks, such as reading exercises, writing practice, vocabulary building, and developing learning habits.

Guide parents on how to collaborate with the school at home, using more manageable and sustained methods to support their child.

In short, SDP turns student growth into a clear path:

Understand the current status → Analyze the causes → Define goals → Plan actions → Track progress together between school and home.

As a key student growth support initiative at CIS Foshan, the SDP program has officially entered the implementation phase.

To help parents better understand the purpose, report content, and use of SDP, the school held an SDP Parent Sharing Session. The session was led by Ms. Sally, CEO of CIEO All A’s International Education and project lead, together with Mr. Mark, Principal of CIS Kindergarten and Primary School. They shared the project concept, report structure, and practical applications with parents.

Soon, SDP will be gradually applied in student growth analysis, personalized support, and school-home collaboration, enabling the school, families, and students to work together on the same growth plan and make each step of development clearer and more purposeful.
